How it works
GPguide helps you draft structured GP documentation templates using non-identifying inputs.
GPguide helps you draft structured GP documentation templates (including care plan and review templates) using non-identifying inputs. Outputs are drafts only and must be reviewed and edited by the treating clinician.
Choose your workflow
Pick the template you want to draft (for example):
GPguide is designed to support structured documentation—not to make clinical decisions.
Enter de-identified context
Paste brief, non-identifying notes about the clinical situation and what you want in the document.
Important Privacy Requirement
Do not enter patient identifying information (name, DOB, address, Medicare number, IHI, MRN/UR number, phone/email, etc.). OAIC guidance recommends organisations avoid entering personal (especially sensitive) information into publicly available generative AI tools.
GPguide generates a structured draft
GPguide produces a structured draft with consistent headings and suggested wording you can edit.
MBS Item 965 (Preparation)
The MBS explanatory note defines what “preparing” and “reviewing” a plan include (e.g., goals, actions, services/referrals, review arrangements, consent, and adding a copy to the medical record).
MBS Item 967 (Review)
The note outlines documenting progress, updating goals/arrangements, recording consent, and updating the record.
(You remain responsible for meeting the MBS requirements—GPguide is a drafting aid only.)
Review, edit, and finalise
Before using any output clinically, you should:
- Verify accuracy and completeness
- Adjust wording to your clinical judgement and local context
- Ensure the final document meets your professional and record-keeping requirements
Copy & paste into your clinical software
GPguide’s current workflow is copy/paste into your practice system (no integration required). Edit as needed, then save and file according to your usual process.
